AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF SIX HUNDRED ($600.00) DOLLARS FROM THE GENERAL
FUND OASH OPERATING TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT BUDGET ACCOUNT NO. 7. PROPERTIES, L-29a
(7-72-726)1, OTHER EQUIPMENT, AUXILIARY POLICE
WHEREAS, the Auxiliary Police of the City of Richmond, Indiana.is a group composed of
volunteers that serve under the jurisdiction of the Richmond Police Department to aid
and assist upon call the Richmond Police Department in directing vehicle traffic and in
meeting other emergencies, all without compensation, and
WHEREAS, the Auxiliary Police have performed such service with honor and distinction
and they deserve the appreciation of a grateful City, and
WHEREAS, it has been shown that such personnel have a need for raincoats and boots in order
to perform their duties in assisting the Richmond Police Department, and
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption of the
existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more moray for the
various functions of the City Government than was appropriated in the annual budget.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana
SECTION 1. That for the expenses of the City Government and its institutions for the
year ending December 319 19671, the following money is hereby appropriated and set apart
out of the fund named for the proposal specified. Said sum being subject to all laws
governing the same. Such amount appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures
authorized to be made during the. year, unless expressly stipulated by law.
SECTION 2. That for the fiscal period there is hereby appropriated from the General
Find Cash Operating to meet the extraordinary emergency declared to exist.

Other Equipment Auxiliary Police $600.00
SECTION 3. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropriations now have
unobligated balances which -will not be used for the purpose appropriated.
IT IS THEREFORE ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana that such
unnecessary existing appropriations be now reduced in amount as follows: and the same is
appropriated to the above named item.

SECTION 4. An extraordinary emergency exists for the above appropriation.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana governing
emergency appropriations.
