AN ONXNANCE TO APPWPRIATE THE SUM OF M THOUSAND DOLLARS ($29000.00) FWU THE GENERAL
FWD CASH OPERATING, TO POLICE DEPARTMENT BUDGET ACCOUNT NO. L-8 (2-25-252) SERVICES
CONTUCTUALt REPAIR OF MaPUM.
NHIREAS, a request has boon made by the Chief of Police to transfer the sus of two
thousand dollars (529000.00) from the General Pond Cash Operating to Police Department
iudgt►t account No. L-8 (2-25-252), Services Contractual, Repair •f Equd,pMst, and
WEREAS, it is shown that there now exists a balance of 5232.05 in the Police Department
budget Account No. L-8, Ropairlof Equipment to pay for .repair of apipment for the
remainder of the year 19679 and
WHEREAS, the Board of Public works and Safety of the City of Richmond after Careful
study and consideration on the 16th day of February approved that an ordinance be
Prepared for Common Councils consideration to make the above transfer of ft"ds, and
1FAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption of -the
existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money for the
various functions of the City Government than was appropriated in the annual budget.
NON THEREPOkE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana
SECTION 1. That for the expenses of the City Government and its,institutions for the
year ending December 319 19679 the following money is hereby appropriated -and set apart
out of the find named for the purpose specified. Said sum being subject to all laws
governing the same. Such amount appropriated shall beheld to include all excpsoditures
authorized to be made during the year, unless expressly stipulated by lame..,
SECTION 2. That for the flacal paric4 there Is hereby appropriated from the.Gnnoral
FWW Cash Operating to meet the extraordinary emergency declared to exist.

Services Contractual, Repair of Equipment $29000.00
SECTION 3. WHERF;AS, it has been shown that certain existing appropriations now have
unobligated balances which will not be used for the purpose appropriated.
IT IS THEREFORE ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana that such
unnecessary existing appropriations be now reduced in amount as follows: and the same is
appropriated to the above named item.

SOMON 4. An extraordinary emergency exists for the above appropriation.
S=QU 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the lace of the State of Indiana governing
eaxwyency appropriations.
