ORDINANCE N0. 2274-1967
AN ORDINANCE TO TRANSFER THE SUM OF ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($19500.00)
FROM AIRPORT BUDGET ACCOUNT NO. IAA-30 (7-72-726)9 OTHER EQUIPMENT TO AIRPORT
BUDGET ACCOUNT NO. MA-22 (3-37)9 OTHER SUPPLIES.
WHEREAS, there now exists a problem of obnoxious weeds commonly known as Canadian
Thistle growing and spreading upon the land known as the Richmond Municipal Airport,
and
WHEREAS, the Board of Aviation Commissioners have made a thorough study of the
amount of money necessary to make purchase of enough special spray to rid the land
of this obnoxious weed, and
WHEREAS, there now exists a balance of $600.00 in the Airport Budget Account
No. MA-22, Other Supplies and a balance of $19750.00 in the Airport Budget Account
No. MA-309 Other Equipment, and
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption of the
existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money for
various functions of the City Government than was appropriated in the annual budget.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
SECTION I. That for the expenses of the City Government and its institutions for
the year ending Dacember 319, 1967, the following money is hereby appropriated and
set apart out of the fund named for the purpose specified, said sum being subject
to all laws governing the some. Such amount appropriated shall be held to include
all expenditures authorized to be made during the year, unless expressly stipulated
by law.
SECTION II. That for the fiscal �riod there is hereby appropriated from the
Airport Budget Account No. MA-30 (7-72-726), Other Equipment to meet the extraordinary
emergency declared to exist.

SECTION III. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropriations now
have unobligoted balances which will not be used for the purpose appropriated.
It is therefore ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana
that such unnecessary appropriations be now reduced in amount as follows, and the
same is appropriated to the above named item:

SECTION IV. An extraordinary emergency exists for the above appropriation.
SECTION V. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval by the Mayor and ?s subject to the laws of the State of Indiana
governing emergency appropriations.
