AN ORDINANCE TO TRANSFER THE SUM OF FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($59000.00) FROM GENERAL'FUND
CASH OPERATING TO BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY BUDGET ACCOUNT NO. J-12 (2-26-261)
SERVICES CONTRACTUAL, TREE AND STURP REMOVAL.
WHEREAS, the Park Superintendent reported that the recent wind stores has caused consider-
able damage of blowing trees down into the various sections of the city May 289 1967, and
WHEREAS, the 1967 tree and Stump Budget is now depleted and there is need for additional
money to carry on the anticipated iuork schedule for the balance of the year, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works in regular session June 19 1967 approved the transfer
of five thousand dollars ($59000.00) be made, and
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption of the
existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money for various
functions of the City Government than was appropriated in the annual budget.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
SECTION 1. That for the expenses of the City Government and its institutions for the
year ending December 311,1967. the following money is hereby appropriated and set apart
out of the fund named for the purpose specified, said sum being subject to all laws
governing the same. Such amount appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures
authorized to be made during the year, unless expressly stipulated by law.
SECTION 2. That for the fiscal period there is hereby appropriated from the General Fund
Cash Operating to meet the extraordinary emergency declared to exist.

SECTION 3. WHEREAS, it has been shown that existing appropriations now have unobligated
balances which will not be used for the purpose appropriated.
It is therefore ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana that
such unnecessary appropriations be now reduced in amount as follows, and the same is
appropriated to the above named items

SECTION 4. An extraordinary emergency exists for the above appropriation.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana governing
emergency appropriations.
