AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF REAL ESTATE.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2270-1967 appropriated the sum of $1020579.95 from the Cumulative
Capital Improvement Fund for the purpose of purchasing lands and improvements for the
erection of a Municipal Building thereon; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond has secured the following options on real estate on which
to erect a Municipal Building, which real estate is described as followss
HAROLD E. 8 MARGARET ELLEN DUMGND
Parts of Lots 14-15-16-17 J. Cox Addn.
Representing all real estate owned by the vendors in
the block bounded by Fort Wayne Avenue, North A Street,
North 5th Street and Main Street.
FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF RICHMOND
GUARDIAN OF MARIE ZERVAKOS
Part of Lot 16 J. Cox Addn.
Representing all real estate owned by the vendor in
the block bounded by Fort Wayne Avenue, North A Street,
North 5th Street and Main Street and,
WHEREAS, the cost of acquiring said lands and improvements thereon, including the
payment of taxes for 19679 payable in 1968, realtors' commissions and abstracting
costs total $1029540.009
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indians
SECTION 1. Thet the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,
Indiana proceed to exercixe the options heretofore referred to and to purchase
the real estate heretofore described from the owners thereof for the sum of $102,540.0).
