AN ORDINANCE TO TRANSFER THE SUM OF FIVE THOUSAND FOUR HUNpRED AND NINETY-FOUR
DOLLARS AND FIFTY CENTS (-$5,494.50) FROM GENERAL FUND CASH OPERATINGs TO POLICE
DEPARTMENT BUDGET ACCOUNT NO. L-1 (1-11-111}, SALARIES AND WAGES THE AUMT OF FOUR
THOUSAND POUR HUNDRED NINETY -POUR DOLLARS AND FIFTY CENTS ($4,494.50)1 TO POLICE
DEPARTMENT BUDGET ACCOUNT NO. L-21 (5-54) CLOTHING ALLOWANCE THE AMOUNT OF ONE
THOUSAND DOLLARS ($19000.00).
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police on the 8th day of June, 1967 submitted to the Board
of Public Works and Safety the expenditures that would be needed to employ three
new officers to the Police Department for the remainder of the year 1967, and
WHEREAS, the report submitted showed that there would be the expenditure of
$8,494.00 for salaries and $19000.00 for equipment and clothing, and
WHEREAS, the Police Department will have a surplus of approximately $4,000.00 in
the Salaries and Wages Account, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety on the 8th day of June 1967 approved
that an ordinance be prepared for Common Council°s consideration to transfer the
sum of $59494.50 from the General Fund Cash Operating to meet the expenses of
Salary and Clothing for tree new officers for the Richmond Police Department.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
SECTION 1. That for the expenses of the City Government and its institutions for the
year ending December'31, 19671, the following money is hereby appropriated and set
apart out of the fund named for the purpose specified, said sum being subject to all
laws governing the same. Such amount appropriated shall be held to include all
expenditures authorized to be made during the year, unless expressly stipulated by law.
SECTION 2. That for the fiscal period there is hereby appropriated from the Cenral
Fund Cash Operating to mb t the extraordinary emergency declared to exist.

SECTION 3. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropriations now have
unobligated balances which will not be used for the purpose appropriated.
It is therefore ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana that
such iftwo,ssory appropriations be now reduced in amount as followi.and the same is
appropriated to the above named items

SECTION 4. An extraordinary emergency exists for the above appropriation.
91&ION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
