AN ORDINANCE TO TRANSFER THE SUM OF TWO TJfJUSAND ONE HUNDRED AND TEN ($29110.00)
DOLLARS FROM GENERAL FUND CASH OPERATING TOs BOARD OF WORKS BUDGET ACCOUNT NO. J-29
(5-60) CURRENT CHARGES, RENTAL OF XEROX THE SU14 OF ONE THOUSAND ($19000.00) DOLLARS;
TO BOARD OF WORKS BUDGET ACCOUNT N0. J-32 (6-64) CURRENT OBLIGATIONS, CONTRIBUTIONS
TO RETIREMENT THE SUM OF ONE T11LUSAND ONE HUNDRED AND TEN ($11,110.00) DOLLARS.
WHEREAS, the Board of Works has found that there is need of funds to continue the
operation of the Xerox in the amount of $19000.009 and the sum of $1,110.00 for the
Contribution to Retirement. The balance in the 1967 budget for operation of the
Xerox is $151.16 which is only sufficient to pay the monthly rental for the balance
of 1967 which does not include the billigs for copies. The sum of $19110.00 is
needed due to the fact that the amount due in December, 1966, payable in 1967, was not
figured in the 1967 budget, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Works in regular session July 27, 1967 did approve that an
ordinance be prepared for Councils consideration to make the requested transfer of
money, and
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption oft.the
existing budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money for various
functions of the City Government than was appropriated in the annual budget.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
SECTION 1. That for the expenses of the City Government and its institutions for the
year ending December 31, 19679 the following money is hereby appropriated and set apart
out of the fund named for purposes specified, said sums being subject to all laws govern-
ing the same. Such amount appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures author-
ized to be made during the year, unless expressly stipulated by law.
SECTION 2. That for the fiscal period there is hereby appropriated from the General
Fund Cash Operating to meet the extraordinary emergency declared to exist.

SECTION 3. WHEREAS, it has been shown that existing appropriations now have unobligated
balances which will not be used for the purposes appropriated.
It is therefore ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana that
such unnecessary appropriations be now reduced in amount as follows, and the same is
appropriated to the above named items

SECTION 4. An extrordinary emergency exists for the above appropriation.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in f&ll force and effect from and after its passage
and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana governing
emergency appropriations.
