HomeMy Public PortalAbout2307-1967 - Appropriation - BOWORDINANCE NO. 2307-1967 AN ORDINANCE 10 APPROPRIATE THE SU&I OF SIXTY-FIVE HUNDRED ($61,500.00) DOLLARS FROM GENERAL RIND CASH OPERATING, TO BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY BUDGET ACCOONT NO. J-37 (7-72-722) AVTOR EQUIPMENT, AMBULANCE. WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana did on the 19th day of October, 1967 receive bids for furnishing the City of Richmond, Indiana with one (1) new Ambulance according to specifications on file, and WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety after tabulation of all bids received found that the bid of Kurdys Chevrolet, Inc. in the amount of $65497.98 was the lowest and best bid received, and WHlEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget to that it is now necessary to appropriate more money for the various functions of the City Government than was appropriated in the annual budget. SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that for the expenses of the City Government and its institutions for the year ending December 31, 1967, the following amount of money is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named and for the purpose specified. Said sum being subject to all laws governing the same. Such amounts appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures authorized to be made during the year, unless expressly stipulated by law. SECTION 2. That for said fiscal period, there is hereby appropriated the following specified amount to meet the extraordinary emergency hereby declared to exists Board of Public Works and Safety Budget Account No. J-37 (7-72-722) Motor Equipment, Ambulance SECTION 3. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropriations now have unobligated balances which will not be used for the purpose which appropriated. IT IS THEREFORE ORDAINED by the Richmond Common Council that such unnecessary exist- Ing appropriations be now reduced in amounts as follows, and the same appropriated to the above named items Requested Reduction General Fund Cash Operating SECTION 4. An extraordinary emergency exists for the above appropriation. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana governing emergency appropriations.
