ORDINANCE NO.8-2017
A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP FOR
CERTAIN PARCELS FROM HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL (R3) DISTRICT TO
GENERAL COMMERCIAL (GC) DISTRICT
WHEREAS, The Zoning Map designates certain adjacent properties commonly known as 1600
National Road W, 1624 National Road W, and 186 SW 161" Street, and each legally
described as follows, to wit:
1600 National Road W: PT NW SEC 6-13-1 0.19A
1624 National Road W: PT NW SEC 6-13-1 0.621A EX 2 FT OFF
ENT N SIDE
186 SW 16th Street: PT NW SEC 6-13-1 0.585A
as a High Density Residential (R3) District, as described on Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, It is desirable to change the zoning designations to a General Commercial (GC) District
in order to allow the properties to be used consistent with the same General
Commercial zoning along the National Road West corridor.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, that the zoning designation for the above described properties are changed to a General
Commercial (GC) District.
