CLOSED SESSION MINUTES HILLSBOROUGH TOWN BOARD October 12, 1998 7:15 PM, Town Barn The Hillsborough Town Board held a Closed Session on October 12, 1998 in the Town Barn. Present for the Board Meeting were Mayor Horace H. Johnson, Sr., Commissioners Richard Simpson, Catherine Martin, Frances Dancy, Kenneth Chavious, and Evelyn Lloyd. Staff Present were Town Manager Eric Peterson, Finance Director Sherry Carter, and Town Clerk Donna Armbrister. XII. CLOSED SESSION Closed Session for the purpose of considering potential litigation and property acquisition. Mayor Horace Johnson updated the Board on today's Reservoir court case with Mr. Rimmer. He informed the Board that the judge ruled in Mr. Rimmer's favor and granted him an extension to renegotiate the sale of his property. . Town Manager Eric Peterson reported that two of the Reservoir cases are being settled out of Court. Manager Peterson gave a Faucette Mill Road update stating that the condemnation notice has been given on the Pope property and the offer has been accepted on the Walters property. Finance Director Sherry Carter reported on two delinquent Business Licenses and on delinquent Fire Inspection Fee. By consensus, the Board authorized the Town Attorney to write letters to collect the delinquent Business License Fees from Oliver's and Nortel and also the delinquent Fire Inspection Fee from Nortel. Upon a motion by Commissioner Simpson, seconded by Commissioner Dancy, the Board moved to return to Open Session by a vote of 5-0. The motion was declared passed. .
