CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
Mayor Giles called the special meeting of the McCall City Council to order at 5:30 p.m.
Mayor Giles, Council Member Holmes, Council Member Maciaszek, Council Member
Nielsen all answered roll call. Currently there is one Council vacancy.
City staff members present were Anette Spickard, City Manager; BessieJo Wagner, Erin Greaves,
Communications Manager; Linda Stokes, City Treasurer; Eric McCormick, Golf Course
Superintendent; Meg Lojek, Library Director; Chris Curtin, Information Systems Manager
COUNCIL INTERVIEWS
AB 20-325 Interview Applicants for City Council
Mayor Giles asked each candidate, in the order outlined on the agenda, the following questions:
• Please introduce yourself and tell us what you hope to achieve if you are appointed a
McCall City Councilor.
• Do you feel the City is headed in the right direction or the wrong direction and why?

Cami Hedges—Callan
Jeffrey Mousseau
Wayne Dolik
Jason Moore
Terry Edvalson

COUNCIL MEMBER APPOINMENT
AB 20-325 Appoint a new Council Member
Mayor Giles asked each Council Member to identify their top two picks and why.
Council Member Holmes—top two are Cami Callan and Jeff Mousseau
Council Member Maciaszek—top two are Jeff Mousseau and Paul Christensen
Council Member Nielsen—top two are Jeff Mousseau and Terry Edvalson
Mayor Giles—top two are Cami Callan and Paul Christensen
Council Member Holmes nominated Cami Callan for City Council Member. Council
Member Nielsen seconded the nomination.
Discussion
Council Member Maciaszek identified that this was a very difficult discussion and decision. He
also pointed out that Jeff Mousseau had the most votes of the Council with two top votes and one
secondary vote and that there had many letters of support for Mr. Mousseau from the community.
Council Member Holmes felt she had already made her case for Cami Callan. Council Member
Nielsen stated that he was very comfortable with all the candidates and feels Cami Callan would
bring a good perspective from someone who works and lives in the community. Mayor Giles
agreed that it was a difficult decision. Mayor Giles called for a roll call vote on the nomination.
Council Member Holmes, Council Member Nielsen and Mayor Giles all voted aye and
Council Member Maciaszek voted no and the nomination carried.
ADJOURNMENT
Without further business, Mayor Giles adjourned the meeting at 6:40 p.m.
