AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING
THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION
OF A GRANT FROM LIFESTREAM SERVICES, INC.
WHEREAS, In accordance with Indiana Code (IC) 36-1-4-10, a municipality may execute any
documents necessary to receive money from the state or federal government or
any other source, and said documents are prepared and executed by the City
executive administration, provided that the Common Council of the City of
Richmond as the legislative body of the City approves an ordinance for the
appropriation of any monies received in accordance with IC 36-4-6-18; and
WHEREAS, LifeStream Services, Inc. has grant funding available through its Title III (Older
American Act Funds) Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, The City of Richmond desires to submit a grant application to obtain funding for
Rose View Transit transportation services for the second half of fiscal year 2017;
and
WHEREAS, No local match is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond, in accordance with IC 36-1-4-10, has submitted or will submit
a grant application to LifeStream Services, Inc. for the Title III Grant Program to help fund the
Rose View Transit transportation services for the second half of fiscal year 2017.
2. The City of Richmond is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to
Eighteen Thousand One Hundred Eighty-one Dollars and Eighty Cents ($18,181.80).
3. All grant funding, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated to help
fund the Rose View Transit transportation services for the second half of fiscal year 2017.

Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
