Subject: Recurring Vendors
The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to provide transparency, with respect to
vendors used by the Village over the course of the fiscal year.
On September 10, 2019, Council approved the use of 21 vendors, which on aggregate
may exceed $20,000 (the Village Manager’s spending limit) over the course of the fiscal
year. Within this approval, Council requested notification if/when any vendors on the
list exceed the threshold of $20,000. At this time, two vendors: Lank Oil Company and
Creative Staffing, Incorporated have exceeded $20,000 in aggregate purchases. Lank
Oil Company and Creative Staffing Incorporated were included in the January 31st,
2020 and May 22nd, 2020 LTC Updates respectively.
Tirone Electric, Inc. provides licensed electrical services to the Village on an as needed
basis. During this fiscal year, Tirone Electric, Inc. has generally performed individual
service call type repairs at Village buildings, Bal Harbour Park and throughout the
Collins Avenue right of way areas. Most of the 23 individual services calls resulted in
invoices of less than $1000 and to date, have the aggregate result in expenditures of
$23,317.36.
