APPROVING FINAL SPECIAL LEGAL SERVICES- PASSAIC VALLEY
LITIGATION
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret was in need of specialized legal services with
regard to the Passaic Valley/Newark Bay Litigation; and
WHEREAS, David Ivlairo, Esq., formerly of blcNianimon, Scotland & Baumann, LLC,
the attorney of record in the above litigation possessed the requisite experience mid
expertise and intimate knowledge of the pending litigation; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
fox said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret.
1. That David Mairo, Esq., presently of the law firm of Sedita,
Campisano & Campisano, special legal services in the Passaic
Valley/Newark Bay litigation are hereby approved in the total amount
of $15,000
2. That a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to tire Borough's
Purchasing Department.
3. This action is approved as an award of a professional services contract
pursuant to N.I.S.A. 40A:11- 5(1)(a) in accordance with the Borough's
Fair and Open Process as authorized by law and subjct t to the
availability of funds.

REGARD TO THE PASSAIC VALLEY /NEWARK BAY LITIGATION.
NOT TO EXCEED $15,000.00
According to the terms set forth in the Resolution.
THE BOROUGH does hereby agree to pay the Contractor the sum set forth in the Resolution.
