Dear Chief,
I am Rabbi Dr. Jory Lang and I have been the Chaplain Major of North Miami Police Department for 32
years. I am reaching out to thank you for how outstanding Lieutenant Oscar Amago and the other
officers responded to an absolutely horrific situation. The unfortunate death of Ethan Gordon was
handled in the most professional manner. Your officers responded in a nurturing, loving way. The
family told me the officers were truly kind and compassionate.
