Committee members present were Steven Bergquist, George Carey, Jim Trabulsie ( Chairman ), Tom Turcketta and Sara Provos ( Senior Department Assistant ) . Carol Appleton and Patricia Busch were not present . FCONTINUED FROM PREVIOUS MEETING J H-&20-72 Town of Brewster ( Fire Station ), 1671 Main Street, Map 56 Lot6 Roof Mounted Solar Panels ■ James Trabulsie read into record the specification sheet for the roof mounted solar panels to be placed on the building . ■ Liz Argo, Executive Director of The Cape & Vineyard Electric Cooperative, Inc . and Siva Thashnath, EPC Project Engineer of Greenskies Clean Energy discussed the plans with the committee . ■ Jim Trabulsie noted that there is a small flat section of the building where the panels may be slightly visible, however there is a minimal visual impact from Route 6A . ■ Tom Turcketta moved to accept as proposed . George Carey seconded . ■ All voted in favor . W& 20-81 John Pels, 140 Old Valley Road, Map 101 Lot 14 Deck ■ Application has been withdrawn per the contractor' s request . ■ James Trabulsie noted that a smaller deck was approved via an Exemption # E-5 - 20-62 and the applicant has decided to move forward with that application . W& 2&69 30 Swift Lane LLC, 30 Swift Lane, Map 69 Lot 97 Addition ■ This application was continued from the July 23, 2020 meeting . ■ Alison Alessi of A3 Architects Inc . discussed the proposed changes to the plans with the committee . ■ Ms . Alessi noted that she attempted to address the committees concern from the previous meeting on the East Elevation and created an outline on the drawings of what the connector would look like . , ■ Tom Turcketta stated that he is having a difficult time reconciling the fact that these are t1nv.Q ! ;! separate buildings . I:.J Brewster Historic District Committee / Minutes of August 6, 2020 Meeting ■ Mr. Trabulsie noted that the primary concern of maintaining the original character and integrity of the original home has been done . ■ Sara Provos read into record an abutter letter from Mr. and Mrs . Boyd . ■ Per a comment from George Carey, Ms . Alessi noted that she could move the location of one of the doors and change the existing door to a window to break up the look of the two separate structures . ■ Tom Turcketta accepted as amended to change the door on the west side to a window and a door will be put on the east side of the structure . George Carey seconded . ■ All voted in favor. SCH1=DUlEDAPpLICATIONS - r Er j W8-20-97 Michael and Kelli Marcell, 0 Tubman Road, Map 65 Lot 25 Single Family Dwelling with Detached Barn ■ Application has been continued to the August 20, 2020 meeting. W8-20=98 Michael Leddy, 0 Stony Brook Road, Map 6 Lot 23 Single Family Dwelling ■ Owner Michael Leddy attended the meeting. ■ Jim Trabulsie read into record the specification sheet for the new dwelling. ■ Steven Bergquist noted that the fiberglass garage door appears out of character. ■ George Carey asked for clarification on if the entire house would be cedar shingles . Mr . Leddy noted that with the exception of the front porch area, which will be red cedar clapboard painted white, the rest of the home would be cedar shingles . ■ Tom Turcketta accepted as proposed . Steven Bergquist seconded . ■ All voted in favor . H-8-20413 Seamus Woods, 707 Tubman Road, Map 65 Lot 16 Roof Mounted Solar Panels ■ Seamus Woods represented himself. ■ Jim Trabulsie read into record the specification sheet for the installation of 16 solar panels on a shed dormer and noted that the panels are not visible . ■ Tom Turcketta accepted as proposed . Steven Bergquist seconded . ■ All voted in favor. OTHER BUSINESS ■ Ir Steve Bergquist moved to approve the June 25, 2020 meeting minutes . George Carey seconded . ■ All voted in favor . 2
