OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA
RESOLUTION NO. 2 -2011
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PARK SUPERINTENDENT TO EXECUTE CERTAIN
CONTRACTS ON BEHALF OF THE PARK BOARD
WHEREAS, Pursuant to Indiana Code 36 -10 -3 et seq. the City of Richmond Parks and
Recreation Board (hereinafter "Parks Board ") is authorized to enter into contracts
on behalf of the Richmond Parks Department and where Board approval
constitutes formal Board action contracts that have been formally approved by
the Board are executed by all members of the Board; and
WHEREAS, The City of Richmond Parks and Recreation Board previously authorized the
President of the Parks Board to execute all contracts that are presented to and
approved by the Parks Board during the 2011 calendar year; and
WHEREAS, The Parks Board wishes to authorize the Parks Superintendent to execute any
contracts required for non - public works services in an amount not to exceed One
Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00), which contracts would normally be approved by
Board action prior to said contracts taking effect; and
WHEREAS, It is in the best interest of the Parks Department to authorize the Parks
Superintendent, on behalf of the City of Richmond Parks and Recreation Board,
to execute any contracts that do not exceed One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00)
for non - public works services during the 2011 calendar year without seeking
prior Park Board approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Richmond Board of Parks and Recreation that
the Park Superintendent be authorized, on behalf of the City of Richmond Parks and Recreation Board, to
execute all contracts that do not exceed One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) for non - public works services
during the 2011 calendar year without seeking prior Park Board approval.
THIS RESOLUTION IS ADOPTED THIS 27 DAY OF SEPTEMBER 2011.
