OF MUNICIPAL PUBLIC DEFENDER
WHEREAS, pursuant to NJ.SA. 2B: 12-28(b) the Borough may, be Ordinance, establish
a fee for persons applying for the service of the Municipal Public Defender;
BE IT ORDAINED that the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret do hereby
establish an application fee for persons applying for the service of the Municipal Public
Defender in the amount of Fifty Dollars ($50.00).
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the purpose of said fee is to defray the costs of the
position of Municipal Public Defender.
