HomeMy Public PortalAboutPCM 1991-09-11PLANNING COMMISSION SEPT. 11, 1991 The regular meeting of the commission was called to order by Chairman Day at 7:30 p.m. Board present were Jensen, Klancke, Swatzell, Shapiro and Schmidt. Also present were Town Manager, Clay Brown and Winter. Minutes of the previous meeting were approved as written. Commission reviewed a preliminary plan for a possible special use permit. Plan presented by Don Drake and owner of the land Walley Alves. Ryder Transportation will be moving out of there present facilities next year and has looked at the Alves property as possible site to use. Drake prepared a site plan of the property for review site to provide spaces for not more than 31 buses,. Comments and concerns to the proposed project were as follows: 1. Air and noise pollution. Do not want diesel buses. 2. Size of property. Drawing needs to be to scale. Where do employees park. Fuel storage, where, volume, access. Fire district review and approval of storage. 3. Bus parking behind Bickle's building. 4. Fencing, landscaping, visual impact from Highway 40, should the Lighting Liquor building come down. 5. Traffic circulation of buses. Members commented they would review the operation that exists at the other site to get some idea of impact. Also discussed possibility of vacating Doc Susie. Board expressed the above were only first thoughts and will need to review it further. Brown handed out new ideas for the zoning changes. Board will review the information and discuss it at the next meeting. Board adjourned at 10:00 p.m. ýÿ
