ORDINANCE NO.37-2017
AN APPROPRIATION (TRANSFER) ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 2017 BUDGET
WHEREAS, The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana adopted a budget for
calendar year 2017 on October 17, 2016, with Ordinance 44-2016; and
WHEREAS, The Common Council has determined it necessary to transfer money from one
major budget classification to another within a department or office; and
WHEREAS, The transfer does not require the expenditure of more money than the total
amount set out in the budget as finally determined under Indiana Code 6-1.1-1-1
et seq.; and
WHEREAS, This transfer may be made under Indiana Code 6-1.1-18-6 without notice and
without the approval of the Department of Local Government Finance.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, that the 2017 budget be amended as follows:
A. 218 — Motor Vehicle Highway Fund
I . Delete $60,000.00 from Salt
Available Balance as of 8.29.17 - $60,000
Account number 218.18.180.180.000.2331 $60,000
Total Deleted $60,000
2. Add $60,000.00 to Contractual Services
For replacement of front wheel loader
Available Balance as of 8.29.17 - $217,360
Account number 218.18.180.180.000.4490 $60,000
Total Added $60,000
Passed and adopted this day of 2017, by the Common Council of the City
of Richmond, Indiana.
