PLANNING COMMISSION
APRIL 22, 1992
Chairman Day opened the regular meeting at 7:50 p.m. Board
present were Buchheister, Swatzell, Schmidt and Klancke.
Also present were Brown and Winter.
Jeff Warner appeared before the Board for consideration of a
special use permit with regards to a Snack Shack. This will
be a 8X16 trailer concerted to serve food items from ie:
pop, hot dogs etc. As this is a trailer conversion and
removal it require permitted. The business that he is going
to open is a garden shop with a 9 hole putt-putt golf.
Location is the Artic Cat building he will be renting for
the summer.
Discussion was held with regards to location of the food
stand, parking designated as well as the weather shield for
the outside plants as to looks. Warner will be at Town
Board for hearing on this matter on May 6th.
Swatzell moved to recommend approval of the permit for 1
year with the fallowing conditions:
1. Photo of the trailer, with lattice screening around
the bottom, awnings and flower boxes, to make it look nice.
2. Better site planning with regards to the location
of the snack shack, delineated parking etc.and putt-putt lay
out.
3. Show how the outside covering of the plants will
look.
4. Town Manager review this information before hand to
give the Town Board this approval recommendation.
Motion 2nd Day, carried.
Workshop on zoning.
Brown reviewed with the Board his feeling concerning the
Clayton Trailer park redevelopment and his belief that the
redevelopment will take place on its own without placing a
different zoning on the property at this time.
Board reviewed ideas of merging the zoning documents
together and format they would like to see.

It was agreed that we would have a Business District with
various Planning areas. Same uses would not be allowed, but
use by right would be accomplished by a design criteria
ranging from less restrictive to very design restrictive.
Klancke would like to see the planning area design criteria
worked on first and then see where it fit or change it to
fit different sections of Town.
