AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE
WAYNE COUNTY FOUNDATION
WHEREAS, The Wayne County Foundation has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond Police Department and City of Richmond Fire
Department desires to submit a grant application to obtain funds that will
be used to offset costs for the Police/Fire Training Facility; and
WHEREAS, no local match is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond Police Department and City of Richmond Fire
Department are hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Wayne County
Foundation.
2. The City of Richmond Police Department and City of Richmond Fire
Department are authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Seven
Thousand Five Hundred Dollars and Zero Cents ($7,500.00).
3. Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars and Zero Cents ($7,500.00) of said
funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond Police Department and City of Richmond Fire
Department, shall be appropriated to offset costs for the Police/Fire Training Facility.
Passed and adopted this _18th_ day of _September 2006, by the Common Council of
the City of Richmond, Indiana.
