AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE
ASSISTANCE TO FIREFIGHTERS GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, The Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program has grant funding available;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond Fire Department desires to submit a grant application
to obtain funds that will be used to procure: (1) Fire Extinguisher Training
System (2) Classroom Videos and (3) Instructor pay for 1 year; and
WHEREAS, no local match is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond Fire Department is hereby authorized to submit a grant
application to the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program.
2. The City of Richmond Fire Department is authorized to accept said grant
funding in an amount up to Seventeen Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($17,000.00).
3. Said grant funding shall be used to procure: (1) Fire Extinguisher Training
System (2) Classroom Videos and (3) Instructor pay for 1 year.
Passed and adopted this _2nd_ day of October 2006, by the Common Council of
the City of Richmond, Indiana.
