ORDINANCE NO. 44-2017
AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 2017 BUDGET AND
AUTHORIZING A REDUCTION IN APPROPRIATIONS FROM CERTAIN
FUNDS
WHEREAS, The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana adopted a budget for calendar
year 2017 on October 17th, 2016 (Ordinance 44-2016); and
WHEREAS, It has been shown that certain existing appropriations now have unobligated balances
that will not be needed for the purposes for which appropriated, thus allowing the
aforementioned reductions.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana
that the following reductions in appropriations are hereby approved for the funds as indicated:
1. Reduction in Tax Abatement & Infrastructure Fund 217
Capital Outlay 15,000
Total Tax Abatement & Infrastructure 15,000
2. Reduction in Unsafe Building Fund 240
Other Services & Charges 25,000
Total Unsafe Building 25,000
3. Reduction in Midwest Industrial Park Fund 246
Capital Outlays 50,000
Total Midwest Industrial Park 50,000
4. Reduction in Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund 212
Capital Outlays 20,000
Total Cumulative Capital Development 20,000
TOTAL 2017 BUDGET REDUCTIONS 110,000
