MEETING: Planning Commission Regular Meeting

Commission: Chairperson Motor Coulson; Commissioners: Cheri Sanders,
Vesta Shapiro, Chiara Subhas and Steve Sumrall
Staff: Community Development Director Jeff Durbin, Planner
Drew Nelson, Town Manager Chuck Reid and Town

Chair Coulson called the meeting to order at 6:34 p.m.
Comm. Shapiro moved, and Comm. Subhas seconded the motion to approve
the minutes of the October 22, 2003 meeting as presented. Motion carried:
5-0
Oven Forum
Chair Coulson called for items not on the agenda. Hearing none, she moved
on.
Action Items
Public Hearing -Fraser Comprehensive Plan
Comm. Sumrall moved, and Comm. Shapiro seconded the motion to open the
Public Hearing. Motion carried: 5-0. CDD Durbin presented an overview
presentation on the Comp Plan. He touched on the reviews which had been
done and the revisions that were made. East Grand Fire Chief Todd Holzwarth
stated the Fire Dept. supports the Plan and always wants to encourage
transportation improvements, fire and vegetation management, etc. Following
discussion, Comm. Sumrall moved, and Comm. Subhas seconded the motioa
to close the Public Hearing. Motion carried: 5-0.
Comm. Sumrall moved, and Comm. Sanders seconded the motioa to approve
Planning Commission Resolution No. 11-01-03, Approving and Certifying to
the Board of Trustees of the Town of Fraser, Colorado, an Amended

Comprehensive Plan (Master Plan) for the Town of Fraser and such Additional
Territory as Included Therein, as Authorized by Colorado Revised Statutes, as
,Amended, Specifically Title 31, Article 23, Part 2. Motion carried: 5-0
Discussion Items
None
Town Board Update
CDD Durbin informed the Commission that The Hungry Bear family restaurant
will be opening in the former Loco Gringo location.
Elk Creek Village is making progress.
Staff Choice
Town Manager Chuck Reid invited the Planning Commissioners to the annual
holiday gathering at his home at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 16. Invitations
will be sent.
Commissioners' Choice
Comm. Sanders suggested the Town approach the High School for seniors
working on their community service to do trail maintenance, etc.
Comm. Shapiro inquired about the status of the connection of the Fraser trail
through Hi County Haus.
Comm. Shapiro verified that the proposed Rec Center site was made available
to the Rec District through 2004.
Comm. Shapiro moved, and Comm. Sanders seconded the motion to adjourn.
Motion carried: 5-0. Meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
