HomeMy Public PortalAboutPCM 2004-02-25FRASER PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES DATE: Wednesday, February 25, 2004 MEETING: Planning Commission Regular Meeting PLACE: Town Hall Board Room PRESENT Commission; Chairperson Motor Coulson; Mayor Dennis Soles; Commissioners: Cheri Sanders, Vesta Shapiro, Steve Sumrall and Marian Waldron Staff: Community Development Director Jeff Durbin and Town Clerk Molly McCandless Others: see attached list Chair Coulson called the meeting to order at 6:34 p.m. Comm. Shapiro moved, and Comm. Sumrall seconded the motioa to approve the minutes of the December 10, 2003 meeting as presented. Motion carried: 6-0 Oven Forum Chair Coulson call for items not on the agenda. Hearing none, she moved on. Public Hearings Fraser historic Church - coatiaued Comm. Sumrall moved, and Comm. Shapiro seconded the motioa to open the Public Hearing continued from December 10, 2003. Motion carried: 6-0. There was no public comment. CDD Durbin stated there were no complaints about the Dead of Winter concern series at the Church. Comm. Sumrall moved, Comm. Shapiro seconded the motion to close the Public Hearing. Motion carried: 6-0. The Commission determined to move ahead with developing conditional use provisions as amendments to the Zoning Ordinance. Subdivision Code Updates Comm. Sanders moved, and Mayor Soles seconded the motioa to open the Public Hearing. Motion carried: 6-0. CDD Durbin and the Planning Commission reviewed in detail the updates and changes proposed to the Planning Commission Minutes 02/25/04 Page 2 Subdivision Code. Jack Bestall, Rendezvous Project Manager participated. Following intense review, Mayor Soles moved, and Comm. Waldron seconded the motioa to continue the Public Hearing to the next meeting of the Planning Commission. Motion carried: 6-0. Mayor Soles moved, and Comm. Waldron seconded the motioa to forward the plat amendment section to the Town Board for approval. Motion carried: 6-0 Discussion Items Land Use Code Updates CDD Durbin, the Commission, and Mr. Bestall reviewed proposed changes to the zoning regulations pertaining Planned Development Districts and Accessory Dwelling Units resulting from a previous Public Hearing. Following detailed review, Mayor Soles moved, and Comm. Waldron seconded the motion to recommend approval of these land use code updates to the Board, inclusive of three minor changes to be made by CDD Durbin. Motion carried: 6-0 Tc ++ .~ Board Update None Comm. Shapiro moved, and Mayor Soles seconded the motion to adjourn. Motion carried: 6-0.
