CLOSED SESSION MINUTES
IDLLSBOROUGH TOWN BOARD
December 14, 1998
The Hillsborough Town Board held a Closed Session meeting on December 14, 1998 in
the Town Barn. Present for the Board Meeting were Mayor Horace H. Johnson, Sr.,
Commissioners Richard Simpson, Catherine Martin, Frances Dancy, Kenneth Chavious, and
Evelyn Lloyd. Staff Present were Town Manager Eric Peterson, Town Clerk Donna Armbrister,
Finance Director Sherry Carter, and Police Chief Nathaniel Eubanks.
Finance Director Sherry Carter updated the Board on the previously reported delinquent
Food and Beverage Taxes and Fire Inspection Fees.
Finance Director Carter presented current delinquent Fire Inspection Fees from Auto
Acoustics to the Board for their consideration. By consensus, the Board authorized the staff to
turn the delinquent fees over to the Town Attorney for further action.
Finance Director Carter presented current Food and Beverage Taxes from Superior Foods
Service to the Board for their consideration. Ms. Carter explained that this business was only
open for a short while and has since gone out of business. By consensus, the Board authorized
the staff to cease collection attempts.
Finance Director Carter presented current delinquent Food and Beverage Taxes from
Subway to the Board for their consideration. By consensus, the Board authorized the staff to turn
the delinquent taxes over to the Town Attorney for further action.
Upon a motion by Commissioner Dancy, seconded by Commissioner Chavious, the
Board moved to return to Open Session by a vote of 5-0. The motion was declared passed.
