It is understood that if this permit is granted the builder will at all times comply with the zoning, subdivision, flood control, building, fire, soil
and sedimentation, wetlands, marshlands protection and shore protection ordinances and codes whether local, state or federal, including all
environmental laws and regulations when applicable, subsequent owners should be informed that any alterations to the property must be
approved by the issuance of another building permit. Permit holder agrees to hold the City of Tybee Island harmless on any construction
covered by this permit.
This permit must be posted in a conspicuous location in the front of building and protected from the weather. If this permit is not posted work
will be stopped. The building contractor will replace curb paving and gutter broken during construction. This permit will be voided unless
work has begun within six months of the date of issuance.

grant to the SAVANNAH ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY, its successors and assigns, the right to construct
and maintain an electric transmission and distribution system over and across the land, or upon and along the road adjoining
the said land in the County of
CHATHAM _State of Georgia, described as follows:
All that certain lot, tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in Chatham
County, Georgia, at 506 15th Street, Tybee Island, Georgia, being known as
Lot 231, being a portion of Ward 4, Town of Tybee, lying between 14th and 15th
Streets. Said property being better. described in Deed dated 7/17/45, recorded
in Deed Book 41 -L, page 388, and being better shown on a plat by J. A. Logan,
M.E., dated March 22, 1929, and recorded in Map Book 2, page 259. Both respectively
recorded in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Chatham County,
Georgia. Said tract of land being bounded on the north by Lot 230, Ward 4;
on the south by 15th Street; on the east by Lot 178, Ward 4; and on the west
by 5th Avenue.
It is agreed that Grantee has the option or privilege to permit attachment of
public utilities engaged in telephone, telegraph or television cable service to
be made to the poles covered by this agreement.
Said electric transmission and distribution system with accompanying poles, wires, crossarms, guys and other equipment is
to be constructed in such manner as the Grantee may deem necessary, and permission is hereby given to patrol. repair and
renew the same from time to time, and to cut or trim at any time trees which in the judgment of the Grantee will interfere
with the construction, operation or maintenance of said electric transmission and distribution system.

I do not know why it is not signed. I think this is basically between Ga Power & the owner. That is, if
Ga Power needs it moved the owner would have to move it if he puts it there....

Bubba - Thank you for the response. I forgot to send the Savannah Electric agreement which is now
attached. The agreement isn't signed. It says it is for telephone, telegraph and television cable but
does not specify aboveground or underground. At my house the Comcast cable runs underground.

Dianne - it is probably not a problem depending on who the easement runs in favor of. Nothing could
be placed in a way to interfere with use of the easement, so if it is GA Power it likely would not be a
problem, but if it were for underground utilities, it could be a problem...

Can a carport be placed in a utility easement? I found the code below about swimming pools but
cannot find a comparable one for carports. Attached is a survey showing the proposed location of
the carport in the back yard of lot A. Thanks.
