RESOLUTION OFT BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
MIDPENINSULA ITION 23
REGIONAL OPEN SPACE DISTRICT OPPOSING PROPOS,
AND SUPPORTING THE CONTINUED IMPLEMENTATION OF THE
GLOBAL WARMING ACT OF 2006
WHEREAS,it is imperative to curb the effects of climate change by cutting carbon
emissions;and
WHEREAS,climate change threatens the District's mission to"...protect and restore the
natural environment...'; and
WHEREAS,AB 32 is necessary to reduce California's greenhouse gas emissions and put
California in a position to lead the clean energy and technology market,both in the United States
and abroad.
NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of the Midpcninsula Regional
Open Space District opposes Proposition 23 and supports the continued implementation of AB
32,the Global Warming Act of 2006.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space
District on October 13, 2010 at a Regular Meeting thereof, by the following vote:
