RESOLUTION 87- 1363PC
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TEMPLE CITY APPROVING ZONE CHANGE 87 -865
The Planning Commission of the City of Temple City does
hereby resolve:
Section 1: Based upon a public hearing held September 8,
1987, conducted and noticed in accordance with the State Law,
the Planning Commission hereby approves Zone Change 87 -865, as
amended, and finds that said Zone Change is required to meet
the consistency standards as put forth in State Law. Further,
the Planning Commission recommends that the General Plan be
amended where any inconsistency will exist by action of this
body.
Section 2: This approval is based upon the following
findings of fact:
A. The Environmental Impact Report for the General Plan
Amendment was certified by City Council. Said EIR
included the subsequent zone changes necessary to make
the zoning consistent with the General Plan; there-
fore, no additional environmental considerations are
necessary.
B. The present land uses and any vested rights on the
land subject to this zone change are protected, are
left intact and the applicable zoning ordinance provi-
sions do not prevent the reasonable use of any prop-
erty rezoned by the City's actions.
C. The zone changes are the result of the recently
Amended General Plan and the State Government code
requirement for internal consistency. In addition,
public testimony during the General Plan public hear-
ing process provided the Planning Commission and
Council with public policy, direction and statements
to generally reduce overall residential density
throughout the City.
Section 3. The attached maps, "A ", "B" and "C" shall
become part of the City's official zone map.
Section 4. Accordingly, said Zone Change is hereby recom-
mended to City Council.
Section 5. The Secretary shall, certify the adoption of
this Resolution.
