How does HELPSY collect unwanted clothing?
HELPSY collects unwanted clothing through clothing drives, recycling
bins, home pick-up and thrift store partners.
What items does HELPSY accept?
We pick up clothing, shoes, accessories, and linens, in any
condition. Please make sure that everything is dry and
bagged. We cannot accept glass or breakable items,
furniture, electronics, books or building supplies.
What happens to collected items?
Clothing and shoes are sorted on quality and condition.
The best 50% of the clothes are resold in secondhand
stores while the rest are sent out for industrial use such as
stuffing or insulation. Only the 5% that is wet or oil -stained
is thrown away.

HELPSY is a for -profit that partners with nonprofits to help raise
millions for charitable programs. By adhering to the highest level of social and
environmental performance, HELPSY has earned the designation of a Certified B
Corporation... using business as a force of good TM
Who benefits from the items we collect?
In addition to providing low-cost clothing and shoes to communities around the world,
we support thousands of American jobs. By reusing 20 million pounds of clothing, we
save 7 billion gallons of fresh water and eliminate 300 million pounds of CO2.
