IMPORTANT NOTICE
Effective February 10, 2011 the program for Town collection of commercial trash (anything non-
residential) ended.
As of that date, all businesses who wish to have trash collected by the Town must participate and follow
the guidelines of the program.
If your business is utilizing a private vendor, please forward to this department a copy of your statement
showing that you participate in a trash program utilizing a private vendor.
Please see below for details:
Participation of the program will require purchasing from the Department of Public Works a service
sticker, a trash toter and a recycling toter.
✓ Purchase one to three 65 gallon toters for trash and a separate 64 gallon toter for recycling
✓ Recycling is mandatory
✓ Annual service charge per trash toter is $525., payable by cash, check or money orders. No
Debit Cards. SEE BELOW FOR ADDITIONAL FEES.
✓ There will be no refunds, abatements or proration of charges.
Cardboard is a recyclable item and it is illegal to place cardboard into a trash container.

Businesses requiring more than three trash toters per week will need to purchase the service from
a private vendor.
Purchase of service must be made annually the week of February 11t". at the Department of Public
Works, 124 Orchard Street, office hours are 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Effective February 10, 2011 the Town terminated collection of trash and recycling from businesses
/ non-residential locations that have not paid for service in advance from the Department of Public
works.
