THE CITY OF BEL AIRE, KANSAS
ORDINANCE NO. 3;2. 7
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AND PROVIDING FOR
SALARIES OF CERTAIN OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES
OF THE CITY OF BEL AIRE, KANSAS; ESTABLISHING
AND PROVIDING FOR THE MONTHLY RETAINER FEE
TO BE PAID TO THE CITY ATTORNEY OF THE CITY OF
BEL AIRE, KANSAS; PROVIDING FOR THE METHOD
OF PAYMENT THEREOF; AND REPEALING
ORDINANCES NUMBER 301, 306, 309, 316 AND ALL
OTHER CONFLICTING ORDINANCES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BEL AIRE,
KANSAS:
Section 1. Salaries Established
There is hereby established and provided the following salaries for the
following designated officers and employees of the City of Bel Aire, Kansas, to-wit:
City Treasurer. . . . . . . . $1,200.00 per year
Municipal Judge. . . . . . . $180.00 per session of court
City Prosecutor. . . . . . . $187.50 per prosecutor per session of court
Health and Zoning Administrator. . .The duties of this office are of a part time
nature, the office is currently filled by a full time employee of the city, and the
compensation for this office is contained in the employee's full time salary.
Section 2. Retainer Fee Established
There is hereby established and provided a monthly retainer fee of $2,500.00
to be paid to the City Attorney of the City of Bel Aire, Kansas.
Section 3. Method of Payment
The foregoing salaries and retainer fee shall be effective February 1, 2000.
The foregoing salaries and retainer fee may be paid in monthly, quarterly or annual
payments in proper proportionate amounts as may be deemed advisable by the City
of Bel Aire, Kansas.
Section 4. Repeal
Ordinances number 301,306,309 and 316 are hereby repealed. All other
ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are repealed. However, any
section of an existing ordinance not in conflict herewith is not repealed and remains
in full force and effect.
Section 5. Effective Date
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication
in the official city newspaper.
