NEW JERSEY DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL INFRASTRUCTURE
TRUST LOAN NO. 5340939 -09
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret intends to file a loan application with the New
Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and the New Jersey Environmental
Infrastructure Trust for the Borough's Noe Street Drainage Improvements:
The proposed project includes construction of storm sewer
collection infrastructure upgrades; construction of a one -acre
equalization basin; a 25,000 gallon per minute (GP'I)
stormwater pump station and 48" force main; and discharge
outfall to Noe's Creek and a tide gate designed to handle the
25 year storm event. Collection system upgrades will be
conducted along Noe Street, Harris Street, Pershing Avenue,
Emerson Street, Lowel] Street, Leick Avenue, Thomall Street,
Whittier Street and Wheeler Avenue. Approximately 7,600
linear feet of RCP stomr sewer pipes ranging in size from 18"
to 78 ", including elliptical concrete pipes ranging in size from
14 "x 23" to 48 ".x 76" will be installed, along with
approximately 60 new inlets, Bud thirty manholes. Other
work included associated excavation, dewatering, and
restoration.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that John P. DuPont, P.E., D of
Municipal Engineering, be authorized to act as the Authorized Representative to
represent the Borough of Carteret in all matters relating to the project undertaken
pursuant to the above referenced New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Loan to be
executed with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and the New
Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Trust. The Authorized Representative may be
