HomeMy Public PortalAboutRES-CC-2013-05RESOLUTION 05-2013 A RESOLUTION OF THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF MOAB ESTABLISHING RATES FOR SECURITY AND TRAFFIC CONTROL SERVICES FOR PRIVATE EVENTS WHEREAS, the City of Moab, through its Police Department, occasionally provides security services for movies, commercials and special events; and WHEREAS, the City of Moab has determined that the rates charged for these services should be comparable to those charged by similar entities for similar purposes; and WHEREAS, established rates should be increased from time to time to account for an increase in City costs. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF MOAB THAT THE FOLLOWING FEE SCHEDULE IS HEREBY ADOPTED: Moab City Police Department Rates for Security and Traffic Control Services for Private Events $ 65.00 per hour per officer $240.00 minimum charge per officer for traffic control $ 65.00 per day per car $ 0.65 per mile Time charged begins when the officer leaves his/her residence and ends when he/she returns to his/her residence. If 12-hour notice is not given for cancellation, there will be a minimum charge for four hours for each officer requested, along with four hours of vehicle time. These rates may be adjusted periodically to reflect increases in city costs.
