A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
A TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED FUND BALANCE TO
THE HOMELESSNESS PREVENTION RAPID -RE- HOUSING (HPRP) ACCOUNT
WHEREAS, due to the significant need, Lynwood was allocated $646,575 in
funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to
administer a Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re- Housing Program (HPRP); and
WHEREAS, according to HPRP the City must expend 100 percent of its funds
by the grant expiration date; and
WHEREAS, Staff allocated $262,643 for the FY 2011/12 budget for Homeless
Prevention and Rapid Re- Housing; and
WHEREAS, In order to continue providing Financial Assistance to our HPRP
clients, staff is requesting a transfer in funds in the amount of $32,777.97 from the
unappropriated General funds; and
WHEREAS, staff has identified un- appropriated General funds that can be
advanced to the HPRP fund account.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood authorizes the City
Manager or his designee to make the following funds appropriation and transfer:

TO
Homelessness Prevention
Rapid Re- Housing
$32,777.97
Acct. #3561.75.833.62015
Section 2. There is no negative fiscal impact to the General Fund because the
funds are reimbursed to the City by the Federal Government.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 3 rd day of July, 2012.
