BAL HARBOUR VILLAGE COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
SPECIAL MEETING - MAY 14, 2009
A Special Meeting of the Bal Harbour Village Council was held on Thursday, May 14, 2009, at
the Bal Harbour Village Hall Council Chambers (655 - 96th Street, Bal Harbour, Florida).
1. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order at 8:30
a.m. by Mayor Rosenfield. The following were present:
Mayor Jean Rosenfield
Assistant Mayor Joni D. Blachar
Councilman Martin Packer
Councilwoman Patricia Cohen
Alfred J. Treppeda, Village Manager
Ellisa Horvath, CMC, Village Clerk
Matthew Pearl, Village Attorney
Absent: Councilman Jaime M. Sanz
As a quorum was determined to be present, the meeting commenced.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The Pledge was led by Councilwoman
Cohen.
3. VILLAGE ATTORNEY REQUEST FOR EXECUTIVE SESSION:
Lynne Bloch -Mullen v. Joel Jacobi, Bal Harbour Village, and the
Miami -Dade County Canvassing Board (Case No. 07-12570 CA 08): An Executive
Session for the noted case was requested by the Village Attorney.
A motion was offered by Councilman Packer and seconded by Councilwoman Cohen to schedule
the Executive Session for Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at 8:00 a.m., prior to the Regular Council
Meeting. The motion carried unanimously (4-0).
4. ADJOURN: There being no further business, a motion was offered by
Councilman Packer and seconded b Councilwoman Cohen to adjourn. The motion carried
unanimously, and the meeting adjourned at 8:32 a.m.
