AWARD OF BID FOR WATERFRONT PARK
TURF & PLANT NIAINTENANCE PROGRAM
WIMREAS, pursuant to Borough Resolution #13 -35 adopted at the February 7, 2013
meeting, the bid for the Waterfront Park Maintenance Contract was awarded to
D'Onofrio & Sons, the lowest bidder at $16,315.00; and
WHEREAS, D'Onofrio & Sons, submitted the lowest bid for said contract as evidenced by the
response on file with the Borough's Purchasing Department and with the Borough Engineer; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has reviewed the bid proposals and has recommended the
award of a second year contract to D'Onofrio & Sons, in a total amount not to exceed $16,315.00;
and
WHEREAS, the Carteret Port Authority Treasurer has certified that funds a or will be available
for said purpose.
NOW THEREFORE BE TT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret as follows:
1. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to enter into a
second year contract with D'Onofrio & Sons, Maplewood, N.J. for the
Waterfront Park Turf & Plant Maintenance Program for the sum of $ 16,315.00 in
accordance in all respects with the request for proposals and bid on same.
2. That a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing
Department and Borough Engineer and the Carteret Port Authority,
3. That the aforementioned award of bid is contingent upon formal approval from
the New Jersey Department of Labor, Division of Wage and Hour Compliance.
