A RESOLUTION WAIVING BID PROCEDURES AND
APPROVING A QUOTE FOR PUBLIC DOCUMENT
STORAGE AND RETRIEVAL IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa desires to improve its internet access to
the community for purposes of access to public documents and efficiencies in constituent communication;
and,
WHEREAS, The City has an ongoing professional working relationship with Advanced
Systems, Inc of Iowa / Laserfiche, Waterloo, Iowa for provision of installation, maintenance and software
of the Laserfiche document scanning and retrieval system and therefore wishes to utilize Advance
Systems, Inc's expertise in obtaining and installing the most effective system at the lowest practical cost;
and,
WHEREAS, on February 16, 2015, Advanced Systems, Inc. proposed a "Laserfiche Web
Distribution Portal" installation and support package in the amount of $10,400.00, which proposal is
attached hereto and made a part of this resolution and the City Council does accept this as the sole
proposal due to Advanced Systems, Inc's ongoing professional working relationship with the City of
Tiffin in the capacity of Laserfiche consultant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to
approve and accept the proposal entitled "Laserfiche Web Distribution Portal" proposal dated February
16, 2015 in the amount of $10,400.00 from Advanced Systems, Inc, Waterloo, Iowa, and has authorized
the Mayor to sign and City Clerk to attest said proposal.
On the 22nd day of April, 2015, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa,
Councilperson Upton introduced Resolution No. 2015 -053, A RESOLUTION WAIVING BID
PROCEDURES AND APPROVING A QUOTE FOR PUBLIC DOCUMENT STORAGE AND
RETRIEVAL IMPROVEMENTS and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson
Bartels .

Whereupon four Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner declared that the
Resolution No. 2015 -053, A RESOLUTION WAIVING BID PROCEDURES AND APPROVING A
QUOTE FOR PUBLIC DOCUMENT STORAGE AND RETRIEVAL IMPROVEMENTS to be adopted
and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
