HomeMy Public PortalAbout370 Affidavit of PublicationMEDINA ORDINANCE NO.370 An Ordinance Amending Section 355.05 of the Code of Ordinances Regarding Excessive False Alarms — False Alarm Fee Established The city council of the city of Medi- na ordains as fuffows: SECTION I: Section 355.05 of the Medina code of ordinances are here- by amended by adding the under- Ae_d material and subtracting the material as follows: Section 355.05 False Alarm Fee Es ilh . Any alarms user who in- curs more than twee-) one (11 false alarms for police emergencies or one (1) false alarm for a fire emergency at a single address or nrPm_ ___ISeS dUr n r shall be re- quired o Pay a false alarm fee to the city. The fee schedule shall be es- tablished by the city council. The re- sponding fire or police department shall file a written report of each false alarm with the city clerk -treas- urer. Upon receipt of a report pre- pared by the responding fire or po- lice chief regarding a false alarm at a particular address or premises, the city clerk -treasurer shall notify the alarm user of the provisions of this ordinance and any fees due. If the alarm user is a tenant, the city clerk - treasurer shall also send a copy of the notice to the property owner. The alarm user shall have ten days after receipt of the notice to pay the fee required by this ordinance. SECTION II: This ordinance shall become effective upon its adoption and publication.
