AN ORDINANCE REZONING CERTAIN LANDS
WITHIN THE CITY OF IONA, IDAHO; DESCRIBING
THESE LANDS AND ESTABLISHING EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the land described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto was previously
annexed into the City of Iona, Idaho, and was previously zoned as Commercial (C) under
the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Iona;
WHEREAS, the current owner of such land has requested that such land be
rezoned to Residential Townhouse (R-T) ;
WHEREAS, the City Council has previously conducted a public hearing and has
found that such requested rezoning is in accordance with the Comprehensive Plan of the
City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IONA, IDAHO, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The land described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto is hereby rezoned
from C to R-T pursuant to the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance of the
City of Iona, Idaho.
Section 2. The City Clerk shall forthwith amend the Official Zoning Map of the
City to reflect such rezoning.
Section 3. Nothing herein shall be construed to prevent prosecution and
punishment for any prior violation of the Zoning Ordinance with respect to such parcel, if
such violation occurred prior to the effective date of this Ordinance.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be effective upon its passage, execution and
publication in the manner provided by law.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IONA, on the 17th day
of February , 2015, and signed by the Mayor on the 17th day of February , 2015.

The City of Iona's Planning & Zoning Commission has scheduled a public hearing on the
evening of February 11, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. at the Iona Community Center, which is located at
3548 North Main Street, Iona, Idaho. The purpose of the hearing is to consider a zoning change
from Commercial (C) to Residential Townhouse (R-T) at 5122 E Owens Ave for R&S Properties
1, LLC. A second public hearing is scheduled for the evening of February 17, 2015 at7:15 p.m.
at the Community Center with the City Council for final review.
Written comments will be accepted up to three days prior to the hearing. The public is invited to
attend and public comment is encouraged.
Any person needing special accommodations to participate in the above noticed meeting should
contact the City Office the day before the meeting at 523-5600.
