AUTHORIZING A GRANT TO THE CARTERET BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP
FOR A WEST CARTERET COMMERCIAL FACADE IMPROVEMENT
PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret ( "Borough ") has certain excess UEZ funds which
the Borough Council wish to transfer to the Carteret Business Partnership ( "Partnership ")
to be utilized along with additional Partnership funds, and the contributions of local
business owners, to establish and provide for a West Carteret Commercial Fagade
Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has approximately 142,000 dollars in available UEZ fiords to
transfer to the Partnership for its business Fagade Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, the Partnership has agreed to accept said excess UEZ dollars as a grant to
be utilized Bud administered by the Partnership as part of its West Carteret Commercial
Fagade Improvement Program.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey that the approximately 142,000
dollars in available UEZ funds be transferred to the Carteret Business Partnership for its
use and administration as part of the Partnership's West Carteret Commercial Fagade
Improvement Program.
