AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND EMPOWERING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND
SAFETY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, TO PURCHASE CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY FOR
AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA.
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety of Richmond, Indiana,
deems it necessary to purchase certain personal property, to -wit:
Three police cruiser automobiles
to be used by the Police'Department of the City of Richmond, Indiana;
and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety of Richmond, Indiana,
advertised for and received sealed bids on the purchase of such new
police cruiser automobiles, as required by law; and,
WHEREAS, after due study and tabulation of said bids, the Board of
Public Works and Safety has determined that the cost of such new police
cruiser automobiles will exceed the sum of 2,000.00;
NEW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED .by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Public Works and Safety of Richmond,
Indiana, be, and it is hereby authorized and empowered to purchase
for and on behalf of said City of Richmond, Indiana, the following
described personal property, to -wit:
Three police cruiser automobiles.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall -be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval by the Mayor of the City of
Richmond, Indiana.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, this day of , 1966.
