AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND EMTPOTJERING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND -SAFETY OF
RICHMOND, INDIAM, TO PURCHASE CERTAIN PERSONAL -PROPERTY FOR .AND ON BEHALF OF THE
CITY OF RICHMO D, INDIANA.
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety of Richmond., Indiana, deems it necessary
to ourchase certain-oersona.l nrooerty, to -wit:
One New Cummins NTH-220 Diesel Engine'
to be used by the Fire Deoartment of the City of Richmond, Indiana; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety of Richmond,, Indiana, advertised .for and
received sealed bids on.the purchase of such a diesel engine, as required by law; and
WfE3EAS, afterdue study and tabulation of said bids, the Board of Public Works and
Safety has determined that the cost of such a diesel engine will exceed the sum of
2;000.00, the lowest bid. submit-t ed f or the same to said Board being in the sum of
M,495.00..
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the 'City of Richmond., _ Indiana:
Section 1. That .the Board of Public ti,rorks and Safety of Richmond, Indiana, be and it'
is hereby .authorized and empowered to purchase, for and on behalf of said City of .
Richmond, Indiana, the following described. ber.sonal pro-oerty, to wit:
One New Cummins NTH-220 Diesel Engine
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval by the Mayor of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
