IMPORTANT NOTICE FROM THE
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
Dear Residents and abutters of Avon Road:
The Town of Watertown and our contractor Commonwealth Construction and Utilities,
Inc. are putting out this notice to inform you of upcoming cold weather and how to
maintain your temporary bypass hose and connection to keep it from freezing.
If your home is still being supplied by a temporary bypass connection you should leave
your cold water faucet in either the bathtub or kitchen sink continually running, this will
keep your bypass hose from freezing.
Make sure the water is running at a steady stream and not just trickling as moving water
will not freeze.
