A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF A NEW CIGARETTE PERMIT
TO THE DEPOT TIFFIN, LOCATED AT 221 W. MARENGO RD, TIFFIN, JOHNSON
COUNTY, IOWA
WHEREAS: THE DEPOT TIFFIN has submitted application and required payment
to the City of Tiffin, the local jurisdiction as required by Iowa Code, for the 2015 -2016
cigarette permit issuance effective March 1, 2015 through June 30, 2015,
AND WHEREAS: the said application appears to be in proper order and has been
signed by an authorized individual representing the entity applying for permit and
required payment is accepted by City Clerk of Tiffin, Iowa,
AND WHEREAS, the authorized signing individual states that they hereby bind
themselves to a faithful observance of the laws governing the sale of cigarettes and
tobacco products within the boundaries of Tiffin, Iowa,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Tiffin, Iowa, that the City
Council hereby authorizes the issuance of the 2015 - 2016 ANNUAL CIGARETTE
PERMIT TO THE DEPOT TIFFIN, expires June 30, 2016.
On this 27th day of May 2015, at a regular meeting of Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa,
Council person Kahler introduced RESOLUTION 2015 -073 AUTHORIZING THE
ISSUANCE OF A NEW CIGARETTE PERMIT TO THE DEPOT TIFFIN, LOCATED AT
221 W. MARENGO RD, TIFFIN, JOHNSON COUNTY, IOWA and made a motion for
approval. The motion was seconded by Council person Upton.
AYES: Upton, Bartels, Havens, Kahler, Absent:
NAYS: none
ABSENT: Ryan
WHEREUPON, with four votes for approval, Mayor Berner declared that Resolution
2015 -073 be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature
thereto.
PASSED, AND APPROVED THIS 27TH DAY OF MAY, 2015.
