ORDINANCE NO.17-2019
A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY
OF RICHMOND TO RECEIVE DONATIONS
WHEREAS, The City of Richmond, Indiana, has the option of accepting or rejecting donations for a specific
purpose; and
WHEREAS, The acceptance of a donation for a specific purpose constitutes the appropriation of such
property for the intended purpose; and
WHEREAS, The Mayor's Office wishes to seek donations of funds or materials for the remodeling of the
Community Room and Council Chambers, which includes donations for the audio visual
systems and finishes, during the 2019 calendar year; and
WHEREAS, It is in the best interest of the City of Richmond to permit the Mayor's Office to seek and
accept donations for said purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that all
donations of funds or materials submitted to the Mayor's Office for remodeling of the Community Room and
Council Chambers, which includes donations for the audio visual systems and finishes, during the 2019 calendar
year, shall be accepted and gratefully acknowledged by the citizens of Richmond.
Passed and adopted this day of 2019, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
