HOSMER SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL PROJECT
PREPARATION FOR FINAL PAVING
BOYLSTON STREET, FROM FAIRFIELD STREET TO CHAUNCEY STREET
INCLUDING INTERSECTIONS OF CHAUNCEY STREET
J. Tropeano, Inc. will be preparing the work area for final paving at the Hosmer Safe Routes to School
project next week. Work will include:
• Repair of winter damage —damaged curb stones, sidewalk panels, etc.
• Raising castings.
• Pavement milling of transition areas at the work limits on Chauncey Street and Boylston Street at
each intersecting street including School Street on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 Expect parking
restrictions and road closures during this phase of the work, however the work will be phased so as
not to impact school pick-up/drop-off.
• Final paving is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, April 27, WEATHER PERMITTING. You will be
notified again prior to this work.
• Final loaming and seeding, tree planting, and landscaping will proceed after final pavement to
complete the project, as will crosswalk and line painting.
• The Watertown Police will be informed of the construction and its effects, including the need for
extended on -street parking due to driveway repairs.
We understand that the process is noisy, messy and disruptive and apologize in advance for
inconvenience you may experience. We know you will enjoy the improved appearance and condition of
