AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MCCALL, IDAHO, AMENDING MCCALL CITY
CODE §8.10.2 PERMIT REQUIRED; AMENDING MCCALL CITY CODE §8.10.3
DRIVEWAY APPLICATIONS; AMENDING MCCALL CITY CODE §8.10.4 DRIVEWAY
APPLICATION FEE; PROVIDING SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, McCall City Code 8.10.2 requires persons wishing to construct a driveway
connecting to a public street within the corporate limits of the City to obtain a permit issued by
the City Superintendent; and
WHEREAS, McCall City Code 8.10.3 requires applications to be submitted to the City Clerk;
and
WHEREAS, McCall City Code 8.10.4 requires a fee of five dollars ($5) per driveway
application; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works receives all permit applications;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MCCALL, VALLEY COUNTY, IDAHO, as follows:
SECTION 1: McCall City Code 8.10.2 PERMIT REQUIRED shall be amended as follows:
8-10-2: PERMIT REQUIRED:
No person shall construct a driveway connecting to a public street or way without a permit
therefore issued by the Git3f-Supefititendetit Director of Public Works.
SECTION 2: McCall City Code 8.10.3 APPLICATIONS shall be amended as follows:
8-10-3: APPLICATIONS:
Application for a driveway permit shall be made to the City Clerk Director of Public Works upon
forms to be provided by the Clerk Director of Public Works. The application shall show such
information as shall be from time to time required by the City Superintendent Director of Public
Works.
SECTION 3: McCall City Code 8.10.4 APPLICATION FEE shall be amended as follows:

SECTION 4: This Ordinance shall be published once in the official newspaper of the City and
shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage, approval, and publication.

This amendment is to McCall City Code §8.10.2 and §8.10.3 to clarify that the Director
of Public Works is the official designated to review and approve driveway permits. The
ordinance also amends McCall City Code §8.10.4 to allow the City Council to set driveway
permit fees by resolution rather than by ordinance.
The Ordinance shall be effective upon publication of this Summary.
The full text of the Ordinance is available for review at City Hall and will be provided by the
City Clerk to any citizen upon personal request, or can be viewed on the City website at
www.mccall.id.us.

2. That the attached Ordinance No. 877 is a true and correct copy of an ordinance passed
at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of McCall held on August 12, 2010
and duly recorded in my office; and
3. That said regular meeting was duly convened and held in all respects in accordance
with law and to the extent required by law, due and proper notice of such meeting and
that a legally sufficient number of members of the Council voted in the proper
manner and for the passage of said ordinance; and that all other requirements and
