AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING:AND-..EMPOWERING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC I'TORKS AND
SAFETY OF RICHMOND, INDIANk,.TO,:'PURCHAS E CERTAIN PERSONAL -PROPERTY FOR
AND ON BEHALF O.F -THE CITY •OF RICHMOND, INDIANA.
WHEREAS, the Board of ;Public, Works and Safety,. of Richmond, Indiana,
deems .,it -nec.essary _to 'pur•chas_e=c.er,taih per.e_onal property, to -wit
One'new 125 c.f.m. Air Compressor and Breaking Hammer
to be- used ,by the Street-.' Department,. of the City .of Richmond, . Indiana;
and
WHEREAS, the Board of-Pu:blid--W.or,ks..' and Safety 'of Richmond, Indiana,
advertised -for. and- r'eceibed sealed bids on the purchase- of such an_
air compressor and breaking hammer, as required by law; and
WHEREAS, after due .study and tabulation of said ,bids, th-e- Board of
Public Works and Safety -has determined that the.cost of such air com-
pressor -and breaking• hammer will exceed the sum -of $2,000;00, .the . •
lowest bid submitted.for th-e same -to said Board being in the sum•of
$3,930.00;..
NOW THEREFORE, -BE -IT ORDAINED -by -the Common Council of the City of
Richmond;. Indiana:
Section I. That the Board of Public Works and. Safety of Richmond,
Indiana, be and' -it is hereby authorized and -empowered -to purchase
for and on'behalf of said City of -.Richmond; Indiana, the above des-
cribed personal property, to -wit:
One new 125 c.f.m. Air. C!Rmpr"essor. and Breaking -Hammer -
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in•full,force•and effect from.
and after its passage and•approval by..the- Mayor.of the City of
Richmond, Indiana.
